Biography

Ethel was born about 1873 in Genoa, Italy, the daughter of Vice Consul Edmund George Reader and Penelope Lillie. She is a direct descendent of Henry VII. She spent her formative years in Italy.

In 1903 she was an working as an artist in residence at Florence^[1].

In 1915 she married her 2nd cousin Rev John Lillie Corkey, the minister of Dunloy in Counry Antrim. Her maternal grandfather, John Lillie was the brother of his maternal grandmother, Ann Lillie. They did not have any children.

Sadly, her husband died in 1926 and she returned to England.

She passed away in 1939.
