John Joseph Reap was born on May 30, 1876, in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Michael Reap and Catharine McGinnis. In Jul 1898, John and his brother Michael left Scranton for Leeds, North Dakota. In 1909, Michael moved to Great Falls, Montana and John stayed behind settling in Westhope, North Dakota. As of John's sister, Catherine Burns, death in Dec 1946, he was still living in Westhope, North Dakota.
