Hezekiah Reed was born on February 23, 1745, in Plymouth, Massachusetts, his father, James, was 28 and his mother, Ruth, was 28. He married Deborah M Tirrell in Abington, Massachusetts. They had nine children in 21 years. He died on March 1, 1789, in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, at the age of 44.

Hezekiah Reed of Bridgewater, yeoman died intestate and on 21 March 1789, Isaac Tirrell Jr., of Abington was granted the administration of his estate.[2]
His inventory was taken on 1 March 1789 in Bridgewater. His estate was represented as insolvent.[3]
In 1790, a list of claims and creditors was recorded. His widow Deborah received her dower. An account of his estate by Isaac Tirrell Jr. was recorded which included funeral charges, doctor in his last sickness, nursing, supplies in his last sickness, necessaries to the widow, provisions for the family, and administration fees. The second account of his estate was recorded which included the sale of real estate, the balance from the previous account, supplies in his last sickness, and administration fees.[4]
In 1791, a third account of his estate by Isaac Tirrell was recorded which included the sale of land, and administration fees. The balance was proportioned to pay the creditors.[5]
