Captain Jonathan Remington was born in 1638 or 1639 in Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay. He was the son of John Remington and Elizabeth Remington. He was a selectman, town clerk, and treasurer. He married Martha (Belcher) Remington. Together, they were the parents of John Remington, Martha Remington, Jonathan Remington, Martha (Remington) Bowes, Jonathan Remington, Samuel Remington, Ann (Remington) HIll, and Sarah (Remington) Biscoe. He passed away in about 1700 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay.
