Biography
Mary was born in 1832 and was the daughter of Jared Reynolds and Salome Lewis.
Mary married Willard Blanchar on 12 Oct 1852 in Madison, Dane, Wisconsin. [1] Willard had previously been married to Bethiah J. Cooper. Willard had had several children with Bethiah who were brought into the union. They included Horace, Harvey, Jane and Henry. Mary and Willard together had child who name is unknown pass away at around 7 years; and a son, William.
Mary passed away in 1913 and is buried in Windsor Congregational Cemetery Windsor, Dane County, Wisconsin. Find A Grave: Memorial #38923679
Research Notes
- In the Wisconsin State Census of 1905 [2] there is a Mary Blanchard (73, widow) living in Madison with a daughter "Hattie" and a student lodger. If this is the same Mary Blanchard, Hattie could be another daughter or a nickname for her stepdaughter Jane.
- The marriage record and the above census have the last name as Blanchard but the grave markers for family members give the name as Blanchar.
