Biography

Bettie Rich was the daughter of Claud Rich and Jennie Polston Rich. She lived in Tatum, South Carolina with her family.

Bettie's death certificate lists her cause of death as acute suppurative otitis media [an infection of the air-filled space behind the eardrum (the middle ear)] and meningitis (inflammation of brain and spinal cord membranes, typically caused by an infection). She was pronounced deceased by Dr. P.M. Kinney. Bettie was 7 years old at the time of her death.

Bettie's funeral was handled by Whitner Evans Funeral Home in Bennettsville, Marlboro County, South Carolina. She is interred at Tatum Cemetery in Tatum, Marlboro County, South Carolina, USA.
