George Washington Richards was born 7 Mar 1828 in Indiana, the son of Isaac R. Richards. Isaac's wife in June 1850 was named Margaret. She is possibly George's mother. George was married in Vermilion County, Illinois on 22 Feb 1852 to Louisa "Lucy" P. Lamar. They had one son, Abraham, who was born in May 1852. Louisa died on 19 Dec 1852. George remarried three years later on 23 Dec 1855 to Melinda Montgomery. George and Melinda had no children. George lived in Vermilion County, Illinois until his death on 30 Mar 1901. George is buried in Georgetown Cemetery in Georgetown, Vermillion, Illinois. Find A Grave: Memorial #133259005
