Biography

Eva was born in 1875, the daughter of William R Richardson and Augusta Dimick.^[1]

Eva married Franklin Howard Smith in 1909. They adopted a boy who died of poisoning in 1916. Eva's husband was killed by gunshot in 1918.

Eva was enumerated with her parents and siblings in the 1880 New Hampshire census.^[2]

Evia A Smith. wife of Franklin Howard Smith and Frank's brother, Christopher Erwin Smith, lived with Frank and his wife, Evia. Frank and Chris were gold placer miners. Vallie a cousin, had traveled to Plumas County to visit her cousin, Eva.^[3]

Eva was widowed after her husband, a deputy sheriff, was shot and killed in 1908. She never remained and lived Plumas County the rest of her life.^[4][5][6]
