Biography

Mary was born in 1776 and christened in Nether Denton, Cumberland, England on April 14 of that year. ^[1]

Her marriage to James Bell on November 15 1796 at Nether Denton is unsourced.

Their daughter Ann was born in 1800 and christened at Farlam, Cumberland on December 29 of that year. ^[2]

In the 1851 England and Wales Census, they were living in Ormside, Westmorland. ^[3]

Research Note

There is an alternative source for her birth also in Nether Denton on April 8 1770, but the 1851 Census record for them confirms her age as 76 in that year ^[3]
