Daniel Rickelmann was born in 1821 in Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen), Germany.[1]
Daniel (26) married Anna Christiana (Donnewald) Vahlkamp (16) (born on 9 October 1831 in Sankt Vit, Kreis Gütersloh, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany) in 1848. Their known children were:
- Catherine E (Rickelmann) Diekroetger (born 7 October 1853)
- Margaret (Rickelmann) Diekemper (born 16 July 1858)
Daniel died on 15 January 1869 in Saint Libory, St. Clair County, Illinois, USA, aged 47. He was buried in Saint Liborius Church Cemetery, Saint Libory, St.[1]
