Moritz Ripke was born about 1603, a Halbhöfner in Röbbel Nr.6, Hannover, within the Holy Roman Empire (Heiliges Römisches Reich).
He married Catharina (surname unknown) also of Röbbel. They had five children:
- Ahrend Ripke (b. c. 1638)
- Anna Lisbeth Ripke (later Brüggemann) (b. c. 1645)
- male Ripke (b. c. 1647)
- female Ripke (b. c. 1651)
- Dorothee Ripke (b. c. 1658)
He died in Jun 1681 in Röbbel and was buried 23 Jun 1681 in Bevensen. His wife would survive him by a decade, passing away in August 1690.
Notes
- Ripke family history indicates that there was a Ripke at Röbbel going back to at least 1400, but more research is needed to confirm this.
- Ancestry provides the following information: Dorothee Ripke was born in Röbbel, Bevensen, Uelzen, Lüneburg, Hannover, Preußen, Deutschland on 1658 to Moritz Ripke and Catharina Koellin. (no source material to verify as of yet)
