Biography
Achsa was born 9 Nov 1823 in Chautauqua County, New York. She was the daughter of Horace Risley and Harmony Rood.
Ascha Risley and Addison Morell Wisner were married 12 March 1850 in Lake County, Illinois.[1]
In 1850 she was living in Libertyville, Lake, Illinois.[2] The household included John Edien (sic) age 28 born in New York, Abigal Edien age 29 born in New York, Alice P Edien age 3 born in Illinois, Susan M Edien age 1 born in Illinois, Addison M Wisner age 24 born in New York and Achsa Wisner age 26 born in New York. John was a farmer. Addison was a farmer. Abigail and Achsa were sisters; their father Horace Risley lived next door and brother Oliver H Risley lived nearby.
In 1860 she was living in Pleasant Township, Poweshiek, Iowa.[3] The household included A M Wisner age 33 born in New York, Achsa Wisner age 36 born in New York, Risley Wisner age 8 born in Wisconsin and Merrit Wisner age 5 born in Illinois. Addison was a farmer.
She died 1 Feb 1867 in Montazuma, Iowa. Her death notice was published in the 27 Feb 1867 Fredonia Censor:[4]

She is buried in Masonic IOOF Cemetery, Montezuma, Poweshiek County, Iowa.[5]
