Francis was born 1831 Coylton Ayrshire and baptised on 24 July of that year[1]. He is the son of Peter Robb and Marion Low.
Peter and Marion used the Gadgirth Estate owner Lt Col. Francis Claude Burnett partial names on their children.
In the 1841 Census, living in Gadgirth Holm, Coylton, Ayrshire
In 1866 he married Catherine McGibbon[3]. Witnesses at their wedding were Kinnaird Robb and Margaret Robertson
At time of marriage they both resided at 78 Parliament Road Glasgow. Francis age 30 and was employed as a bottle packer, Catherine was 26 and employed as a steam loom weaver. They had two sons.
In 1877 he married his second wife Mary Ann Brady, who was a widow aged 40[4]. They both resided at 700 Garscube Road, Glasgow and their witnesses were George Flanigan and Janet Wilkinson.
Francis's marriage to Margaret Steven was registered in 1886 in the Dennistoun district.[5]
Francis's death (age 63) was registered in 1903 in the Kelvin district.[6]
