There are two possible sets of parents for Janet:

• Janet Robertson christened 5 Mar 1696 in Kilmadock, the daughter of Archibald Robertson and Agnes Mitchell.^[1]
• Janet Robertson christened 10 Dec 1698 in Kilmadock, the daughter of Walter Robertson and Janet Archibald.^[2]
