Biography

Life

Daisy was born on the 15th March 1888 ^{[1] [2]}She was the daughter of William John Robinson and Kate Maria Brodie. ^[3][4]Daisy had an elder brother Vernon Brodie Robinson who married Theodora Louise Engels in 1932^[5]

Daisy Ellen Robinson married Edward Percival Richardson at the Church of St James The Great, Friern, Barnet on the 17th June 1913. Witnesses to the marriage were W. J. Robinson and H. C. Richardson possibly her father and her father-in-law. ^[6]

The church of St James The Great

Daisy and Edward had two sons, Vincent and Michael. Michael was born at 46 Normandy Avenue, Barnet in 1920, later the family moved to a house called Dava in Arkley, Barnet in Hertfordshire. In what year the family moved is not known but in their son, Michael's army service records from 1944 his father's address was entered Dava. ^[7][8]

On the electoral register for 1949 there is a listing for a May E Wells, she was employed as a companion for Daisy. May lived with Daisy until her death after which she retired and moved to Cheltenham in Gloucestershire to be near to Daisy's son, Michael Richardson and his wife, Antoinette "Toni" (Stoll) Richardson . May was born in Norfolk and had a sister Edith.^{[9] [10][11]}

Daisy's husband, Edward Percival Richardson died in June 1954 and her elder son, Vincent Richardson died in 1965.

Daisy Robinson died in 1972. Her usual residence at the time of her death was 26 Hillside Gardens, Barnet in Hertfordshire. i^{[2] [12]}
