Henry Robinson was born in Hampshire, England.

Henry was born on 5 June 1821 in Gosport, Hampshire, England the son of William and Ann Robinson. He was baptised on 24 June 1821 at St Mary's church, Alverstoke, Gosport [1] [2].

Like his father he became a baker and grocer, and married Mary Ann Sutton on 9 December 1843 at St Thomas's church, Portsmouth [3].

The couple had six children: Mary Ann (born 1845)[4], Samuel Henry (born 9/4/1846) [5], Thomas James (born 2/7/1848) [6], Eliza Matilda (born Dec 1850, died Sep 1851) [7][8], Alfred H (born 1855) [9] and Fanny (born 1/8/1859) [10].

At the times of the 1851, 1861 and 1871 Censuses Henry resided at 90, North Street, Alverstoke, Gosport, Hampshire [11] [12] [13].

Henry died in quarter 1 of 1872 [14]
