David Andrew Robinson was born on December 3, 1700 in County Donegal, Ireland, son of Thomas Robinson (~1675–~1740) and Sarah Gilbert (1680–~1711).^{[citation needed]}

David (23) married Agnes Boal (21) (born about 1702 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania) in 1724 in Hanover, Dauphin. Their children were:
