Joshua Robinson was born in 1849 in County Tipperary, Ireland, son of Joshua Robinson (1823–1901) and Maria Saunders (1824–1902).^[1]

Joshua aged 8, travelled together with his parents and siblings, sailing aboard the Oliver Lang departing Liverpool, England, UK on the 14th July 1857 and arrived in Australia, 01 October 1857. ^[2]

Joshua married Mary Ann Agar in 1893 in Victoria, Australia. They had no children. ^[3]

Joshua died on 07 Dec 1902 in Prahran, Victoria, Australia, aged 52, and was buried on the 10th December 1902 at Melbourne General Cemetery, Carlton North, Melbourne City, Victoria, Australia.^{[4] [1]}
