He was the son of Jacob Roby and Mary Vance. Brother of Mary Leanna (Roby) Paugh and Grace Frances Roby.
Gifford E Roby passed away 1 Sep 1929 in Tucker County, West Virginia, USA. He died from an accident by some type of machine that crushed, bruised and cut young Roby. He was only 23 years old.
He was buried at the Flanagan Hill Cemetery, in Red Creek, Tucker County, West Virginia, USA.
