Daughter of John & Rebecca (Ives) Rockwell Hannah Rockwell Hurlburt's parents are based on "The Whitney family of Connecticut, and its affiliations; being an attempt to trace the descendants, as well in the female as the male lines, of Henry Whitney, from 1649 to 1878," by Stephen Whitney Phoenix, Volume 1, pg 569 [Google Books]: "Chil. of John and Rebecca (Ives) Rockwell. 3023. I. Hannah Rockwell, b. at Lanesborough, Mass., 28 Sept. 1778; married at Cornwall, Vt., Elisha Hurlburt.. b. in Canaan, Conn. about 1860... he was drowned in Otter Creek, in 1824... He served in the Revolutionary Army for seven years... She died at Cornwall, in June 1867, and was buried in Cornwall Cemetery... She married Elisha Hurlburt in 1802 at Cornwall, Addison, VT
