James was born about 1842 to Alexander Rodgers and Harriet Kingsbury. He married a woman named Othelia.
When he passed away, he was buried in Bixby Cemetery, Norfolk, St. Lawrence County, New York. He shares a grave marker with his wife and son, Clinton.[1]
