It appears that Peter may have arrived in New York on the same ship, the Cimbria, in April of 1870, on which his brother Lex (Hans Frederick Lex Johannsen Rohde) and his family arrived. If so, and considering his marriage the next year, the 1870 census for Cleona, Iowa, needs searching for Peter. However, another possible source is : Immigration 1866 to Davenport, Scott Co., Iowa.
