Biography

Martha was born in 1841 ^[1]. Daughter of Samuel Rookstool and Mary Brown. ^[2]

In 1850 she was 9 and living with her parents and nine siblings in Indiana. ^[3]

In 1860 she was living with her parents and six siblings in Indiana. ^[4]

She married William E Gilbert in 1861. ^[5]

In 1870 they were living in Indiana with 4 young children. ^[6]

In 1880 Martha and her husband were living in Indiana with seven children: Mary, Henrietta, Melvin, Charley, John, Ida and Lula. ^[7]

In 1900 they were living in Indiana with for children (John, Ida, Clarence and Blanch) and one Granddaughter (Zoe Wglond). ^[8]

In 1910 she was 68 and living with her husband and four children (John, Ida, Clarence and Martha) and one Granddaughter (Zella J Wyland). ^[9]

She passed in 1912. ^[10][11]

Buried in Baintertown Cemetery, Elkhart, Indiana. ^[1]
