Biography

Patricia Ruth Rose, daughter of Leonard Gaines Rose and was born on 18 July 1927[1] at Bell, Kentucky, USA.[2][3]

She appeared on the census of 2 May 1940 in the home of her parents at Knox County, Tennessee.[4]

She married Carl Edgar Webb[1] in 1950 in Broward County, Florida.[5]

Patricia died on 19 Feb. 2008[3] and was buried at Plot: S, 0, 7447, West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee. Her memorial identifies her husband Carl.[1]

WEBB - Patricia "Pat" Rose, 80, Olive Branch, passed away peacefully at home Feb. 19, 2008, surrounded by her beloved children and grandchildren after a long illness. Born in Middlesboro, Ky. and graduated from Knoxville High School in Tennessee. After working for the prosecuting attorney of Broward County, Fla. and TVA in Knoxville, she met her husband, Carl at a UT fraternity dance. Raised Presbyterian, she converted to Catholicism in 1952 and was very active at St. Paul's Church and later a member of Queen of Peace Church. Preceded in death by husband, Carl Edgar Webb; daughters, Patricia Rose Webb and Therese Rose Webb; father, Leonard Gaines Rose; mother, Mary Golda Angel Rose; and sister, Betty June Rose Link. Survived by children, Carl Webb, Olive Branch, Sydney "Cindy" Webb Shafer, Fairfax, Va.; Gaines Webb, Olive Branch; Liz Webb Alvey (Joe), Southaven; Scott and Melinda Webb, Arlington; Kim Webb Bland (Don), Olive Branch; Adam and Karen Webb, Marietta, Ga.; and Shannon and Karen Webb, Olathe, Kan.; nieces, Jana Courts, Olive Branch; and Cheryl Rogers, Eudora, Miss.; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several other nieces and nephews. Celebration of Pat's life was held at Brantley Funeral Home for friends and family from 5-7 p.m. on Feb. 22. Memorial Mass was held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 23. The family would like to thank Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital, Primacy Healthcare and Methodist Alliance Hospice program for all of their support and loving care. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association and/or Queen of Peace Catholic Church.[6]
