Elizabeth Rosenberger was born in Shenandoah
County, Virginia, about 1808-10, daughter of Abraham Rosenberger and Margaret Hamman. Her mother died when she was still a child and she was raised in the home of George and Elizabeth Lindamood ( her aunt and uncle), who named her and her brother, Abraham, in his will. Elizabeth married Noah Barks in 1833 and lived in Shenandoah County, Virginia, until about 1856, when they moved to Harrison County, Indiana. They settled in Scott Township in Harrison County, but sometime shortly after 1870, they moved along with some of their grown children and their families to Nodaway County, Missouri. Elizabeth passed away in Missouri in 1877.
