Biography
Elizabeth was born in 1874 the daughter of John Archibald Ross (b Inverness County, Nova Scotia) and Mary Cogswell (b Richmond County, Nova Scotia). We know her last name from the birth registration of her son Joseph and from her death registration. We don't know where she was born and the date of her marriage to Alexander Proctor as before 1898 is based on the age of their son, Lester, shown as age 23 in the 1921 Census of Canada. She died in Glace Bay in 1936.
