Biography

Some records state he was actually born on board ship while crossing the Atlantic from Germany to America...

Revolutionary War Soldier; As a Private, George, Jr., served in Captain Michael Metz's Company of Northumberland Militia in 1780 at an unspecified time during the Revolutionary War.

From the Rowe Book: "land surveys for both George II and his sons Martin and Michael. The son David is mentioned as a chain carrier assisting with the Logan County surveys. Marriage records exist for Martin, Michael, David, Daniel, Catherine. The family then moved (1805-1809) to southern Indiana. George II died in Posey County in 1818 and is buried northwest of Mt. Vernon at the Aldrich Cemetery. His wife Margareth, is also buried there. She died in 1820. Posey County records exist that George Row II 's estate was administered by his son, Samuel, and was admitted for consideration May 21, 1821. After the family moved to southern Indiana, some went to Harrison County, and others in Posey County.
