Biography

Nelba was born in 1929 in Mt. Clare, West Virginia, the daughter of Frank Clymer Rowe and Carrie Virginia Jamison. She grew up in the Mt. Clare area and graduated from xx high school in about 1947. She started working a secretary in a local credit bureau. In about 1953, she married Charles Willard Lynch in xx. They lived in xx and had two children together. In about 1970, they settled in Springfield, VA where Nelba worked as a special education teacher's assistant. Nelba Nelba died from a heart attack in Springfield in 2000.

"Nelba Rowe Lynch, Teacher's Aide

Nelba Rowe Lynch, 70, a teacher's assistant in Fairfax County special education classes during the 1970s, died July 20 at home in Springfield after a heart attack.

Mrs. Lynch was born in Mount Clare, W.Va. As a young woman, she was a secretary with the credit bureau in Clarksburg, W.Va. She moved to the Washington area about 30 years ago.

She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Springfield.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Charles W. Lynch of Springfield; a daughter, Charlotte Hays of Elkview, W.Va.; a son, Michael Lynch of Oak Hill, Va.; three brothers, Bacel Rowe and Frank Rowe, both of Mount Clare, and Noah Rowe of Newport, N.C.; a sister, Margaret Ford of Bowie; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter."
