Harriet Rowe was born about 1812 in Devon, England, United Kingdom.

Harriet Rowe (spinster of full age, a cotton winder) of Royal Kent Street, Leicester, the daughter of Thomas Rowe (a wool comber) was married to John Woolman (bachelor of full age, a framework knitter) of Royal Kent Street, Leicester, the son of Samuel Woolman (a framework knitter) on 13 Aug 1838 at St Margaret's Anglican church, Leicester. Witnesses were William Burdett (who signed) and Ann Rowe (who made her mark). Note that the Familysearch source gives the address as Royal East Street. The original marriage entry image at Findmypast has Royal Kent Street in clear handwriting. ^[1][2][3]

In 1851 John Woolman (head, married, 34, frame work knitter, born in Arnesby) and his wife, H Woolman (wife, 38, born in Devonshire) were living at 9, Metcalf Street, St Margaret, Leicester, with five children (shown with just initials) - W Woolman (son, 11, born in Leicester), A Woolman (son, 8, born in Leicester), J Woolman (son, 6, born in Leicester), E Woolman (daughter, 3, born in Leicester) and H Woolman (daughter, 0, born in Leicester) and a son in law, Joseph Rowe (15, single, cordwainer, born in Leicester). ^[4][5]

Harriet died in 1897 in Blackpool. ^[6]

Held from old unsourced profile until proven Some records show Harriet's last name as Burton but Clifton Woolman's site says that her parents were Thomas and Thomasine (1776-1855) Rowe. Harriet's son Joseph Rowe was 3 years old when she married John Woolman.

In 1851 at the age of 38 they were living together with five children and an unmarried (!) son in law Joseph Low at 9, Metcalf Street, St Margarets, Leicester,

On the 1861 census Harriett is shown as the wife of John Woolman and the mother of four children; Isaac (aged 16) Emma (aged 13), Harriett (aged 10) and Eizabeth (aged 6)
