Biography

Leslie Rufus Roy was born in 1903. He was the son of Vinet Roy and Gertrude Gittus. ^[1]

In 1911, at the age of 8, he was living with his mother, father and brother, in Montreal. ^[1]

In 1921, at the age of 18, he continued to live in Montreal with his mother, father and brother. ^[2]

On 1 September 1934 he married Lily Caroline Dugard. Together, the couple had 2 children: Pat Roy and Joan Carolyn Roy.

Leslie Rufus Roy passed away in 6 April 1983, at Sacre Coeur Hospital, Montreal. He is buried in Rideau Memorial Garden, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. ^[3]
