Biography
When Lou Ella Ruark was born on March 25, 1929, in Fullerton, Kentucky, her father, Carl, was 28, and her mother, Pauline, was 30. She married Rex Eugene Douglas on November 29, 1951.
Their son Rex was born on September 4, 1952, in Portsmouth, Ohio. Their daughter Cindy Lou was born on July 3, 1957, also in Portsmouth.
Their son Rex passed away on February 5, 1979 at the age of 26, while on duty as a aircraft carrier pilot in the Mediterranean Sea.
Her husband Rex Eugene passed away on April 21, 1985, in Marietta, Ohio, at the age of 56. They had been married 33 years.
Her brother Donald C died on August 13, 1994, in Louisville, Kentucky, when Lou Ella was 65 years old.
She died on November 22, 2000, in Sebring, Florida, at the age of 71.
