John R Rudd (1866 - 1934)

Biography

John was born in 1866 to former slaves, Charles Henry Rudd and Jemima Patterson. He married Dorothea Patterson in 1908. They married late in life and I don't believe there were any children from this union.

John served in the Army during WW1 as a Captain in the Infantry.

He passed away in 1934 and is buried in the Saint Bernard Cemetery, in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio.^[1]
