Name: Jannetje Wijnands Ruijsevelt. Given Name: Jannetje Wijnands. Surname: Ruijsevelt. Married Name: Oosthoek. Died 29 NOV 1759. in Rhoon, eiland IJsselmonde, ZH. Age: 67-68.

Research Note

There are not many traces of the family in the open National Archives, but there is a specialist genealogical study on the family Ruijsevelt [1]on the isle of IJsselmonde near Rotterdam. It contains key details on Jannetje her husband and her father, but the author also could for instance also not trace her birth or baptismal record. Quoting from the study, Jannetje Wijnantsdr. (Wijnands) Ruijsevelt (Ruijseveld), j.d. van en won. Rhoon (1722), overl. Rhoon (6 gld. imp. bet. ald. en begr. in kerk ald. 29-) 11-1759, tr. Rhoon (otr. ald. 27-2- en hij 3 gld. imp. bet. te Poortugaal 28-2-) 22-3-1722 Arij (Arijen, Arie) Cornelisz. Oosthoeck (Oosthoek), j.m. van en won. in Albrandswaard (1722), woonde nadien te Rhoon overl. (6 gld. imp. bet. Rhoon 18-2- en begr in de kerk op sijn vrouw ald. 24-) 2- 1769. De doopakte van Arij Oosthoeck werd in het inkomplete en gehavende in aanmerking komende doopboek van Poortugaal niet gevonden. Op 24-l-1733 maakte een akte melding van Arij Oosthoek als eigenaar van een belendend perceel aan de Rijsdijk in het Binnenland van Rhoon. Jannetje is presented as most likely offspring (8 sons one daugther) from the second marriage of Wijnand Cornelisz. Ruijseveld in Rhoon with Neeltje Noute from Barendrecht. This is not certain because author has not been able to trace the baptismal records of the offspring. The first wife of Wijnand was Jannetje Leendersdr. It is strange though that Neeltje Noute would give her only daugther the name of the deceased first wife of her husband.
The KuijpersVanWijk family tree [2]has similar data on Jannetje and her ancestors, but is less detailed in its sources.
Martinus M. Verweij's Family Tree on Geneanet [3]gives many more persons around Jannetje, unfortunately without citing sources.
