Biography
Alfred Thomas Salmans, 12th of 12 children of Levi Reed Salmans and Catherine Ann Rector, born Mar 8 1854 at Vinton County OH, died Nov 26 1860 on the Salmans' farm outside of Charleston, Coles County, IL. Only reference to Alfred is on page 19 of the Levi Brimner Salmans' 1936 "History of the Salmans Family" providing only his birth and death date. He is buried at the Craig's Cemetery 4 mi NE of Charleston in Coles County with his father Levi Reed Salmans, brothers Sanford Bundy, Henry Rector, and Samuel Harvey.
