Biography

Elsie was born on the 3rd May 1894^[1] at Camberwell, London, England and baptised along with her cousin Alfred Joseph, on the 18th May 1894 at St. Bartholomew, Camberwell, London, England. She was the daughter of Alfred Arthur Sandwell and Agnes Harriet Sandwell^[2].

Elsie Margurite emigrated with her parents and 5 of her 6 siblings in 1913, arriving at Fremantle, Western Australia on the 18th September 1913 aboard the "Demosthenes"^[3]

In 1920, Elsie Marguerite married Victor G. Lester^[4].

She passed away in 1979.
