Biography

Simon was born 18 Nov 1856 in Illinois. He was the son of Warren Sanford and Dolly Osterhoudt.[1]

In 1860 he was living in Jordan, Whiteside, Illinois, United States.[2] The household included Dolly Ann Sanford 46, Anna H Sanford 7, Alice Sanford 5, L H Sanford 3, and Dolly Osternout 53.

In 1870 he was living in Buffalo Township, Ogle County, Illinois.[3] The household included Dolly Ann Weaver 55, Amos H Sanford 17, Alice J Sanford 14, and Simon R Sanford 13.

In 1880 he was living in Buffalo Township, Ogle County, Illinois, next door to Elias Osterhout.[4] The household included Dolly R. Weaver 66, son Amos H. Weaver 26, daughter Alace J. Weaver 24, and son Simon R. Weaver 23.

Simon R Sanford and Alice J Bellows were married on 28 March 1888 in Ogle, Illinois, United States.[5][6]

He died 9 Apr 1898 in Woosung Township, Ogle County, Illinois[7][8] and is buried in Brick Church Cemetery, Polo, Ogle County, Illinois.[9]

Simon's estate passed probate on 17 February 1900 in Ogle, Illinois, United States.[10]
