Biography

Joseph Sappington, the son of James Sappington and Sarah Durbin was born 29 Nov 1786 in Cross Creek, Ohio, Virginia. [1] He died 18 July 1848 in St. Louis County, Missouri and was was buried at Sappington Cemetery in Crestwood, St. Louis Missouri. [2]

On 23 April 1809 Joseph married Elizabeth Wells Risbon, daughter of Joseph Wells and Mary Scott. She was born in Kentucky on 14 Jan 1788 and died in Carondelet, St. Louis County, Missouri, in 1861. She was buried at Sappington Cemetery in Crestwood, St. Louis, Missouri.
