Biography
When Clement F. SATTERFIELD was born in 1786 in Anson, North Carolina, his father, William, was 38 and his mother, Eunicy, was 22. He died on December 11, 1842, in Harrison, Kentucky, at the age of 56.

Was in War of 1812, First Sgt. Kentucky mounted volunteers. He volunteered August 15, 1813 for a period of 3 months to serve in the war with Great Britain declared by the U.S. on the 18th day June, 1812. He was a member of Col. R.M. Johnson's Mounted Regiment, Mounted Kentucky Volunteers. First Sgt. in company commanded by Capt. James Coleman. Honorably discharged November 19, 1813.
