1940 March 29-Will T. Satterfield, St. Francis Co. farmer, died at his home north of Forrest City this morning, following an illness of several months. Death was due to a stroke of paralysis he suffered last October. Mr. Satterfield was a lifelong resident of the county, having been born Feb.29,1872, the son of F. M. and Margaret Newman Satterfield. He had been a farmer in the Newcastle vivinity for many years. He was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, one brother, Ben Satterfield of Memphis; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Hughes, Mrs. Jim Harris, and Mrs. Widge Ellis. Mr. Satterfield was the twin brother of the late Mrs. Dorcia Humphrey who preceded him in death several weeks ago. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at Hughes cemetery. They will be conducted by Rev. James W. Cobb, assisted by Rev. Clarence Weinand of Colt. Active pallbearers are: Floyd Satterfield, Norman Humphrey, Lamar Humphrey, Jim Henry Satterfield, Lee Satterfield, Ed Harris, John Hughes, and Hubert Harris. Honorary pallbearers are: Jim Harris, Odie Beene, George Doughtery, J. T. Harper, Clyde Sulcer, J. M. McCracken, Dr. J. O. Rush, Walter Gann, Luther Lieblong, Sam Pettus, E. Roy Keller, Will Harris, Paul Myers, Bob Peevey, Omer Kennedy, Robert Munn and W. P. Ellis.
