Services for LeRoy M. Savage, 78, of Lubbock were Monday in Abbey Chapel of Resthaven with David Martin and Ray Bailey officiating.
Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
He died Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, in Lubbock.
He was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Bryan County, Okla. He married Dorothy Capps on July 1, 1941, in Amarillo. He lived in Amarillo from 1940 to 1977, and in Garland from 1977 to 1998. For the past year he had lived in Lubbock. He retired from Dorchester Gas Producing Company. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a veteran of World War II. He worked with the Boy Scouts of America and Kids, Inc. in Lubbock.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kay Reeve of LaPlace, La.; three sons, Lewis of Dallas, James of Amarillo and David of Lubbock; a sister, Ferne Hooper of Fritch; and seven grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Truth in Love, c/o Brown Trail Church of Christ in Bedford.[1]
