Biography

Bernnard was born in 1839. He was a Civil War Veteran, and was wounded at Missionary Ridge, TN, November 25, 1863. He was a Private in Company I, 2nd Infantry, Missouri Volunteers, Proud of his service in the Union Army, he was buried wearing his uniform in the town cemetery, Shiloh, IL. (Civil War information is on Bernnard's tombstone - Lou Scheibel told me, Robert Scheibel, the story about his pride of service) . [1]
