Mary C. Frank, 96, of Hutchinson, died August 3, 2011 at Hospice House in Hutchinson.

She was born March 6, 1915 at Garden City, the daughter of Peter and Catherine Heili Schmidt.

She attended school in Garden City and moved to Hutchinson, 1932. Mary was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Society. She was very active at Elmdale Senior Center.

Mary married St. Patrick J. Frank on January 20, 1931 in Golden, Colorado. He died December 14, 1989.

Survivors include: a daughter, Mary E. Colvard and husband Vernen, Hutchinson; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Shirley Murphy, Hutchinson, and Ileeta Short, Goddard.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Patrick Frank and Jack Frank; 16 siblings, and two grandsons, Richard L. Fasking and Leonal J. Colvard.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in South Hutchinson, with Father Brian Nelson presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 7, at Elliott Mortuary, with the family greeting friends following until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House or Elmdale Senior Center, sent in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, Kansas 67501.
