Biography

Ludwig Friederich Wilhelm was born on 9 Jul 1819 in Osnabrück to Arbeiter in der Papiermühle (paper mill worker) Heinrich Friedrich Schröder and his wife Anne Marie née Schäfer. He was baptized 8 days later (17 Jul) in St.Marien, his godfather was Ludwig Friederich Wilhelm Kreyenhagen from Engter.

In or after 1845, Ludwig Schröder married Eleonore Friedricke Geiersbach from Barnstorf (Bremen), with whom he had a premaritally born son Carl Ludwig Wilhelm in Feb 1845.

In 1846/47, the young family emigrated to the United States of America and settled in Baltimore, Maryland. The couple had at least seven children.

Louis Schroeder passed away in 1873 in Baltimore, Maryland.
