OBITUARY Nhill Free Press (Vic. : 1914 - 1918), Tuesday 4 December 1917, page 2

The death occurred at the residence of his son, Mr Ben. Schultz, of Ni Ni Well, on Sunday evening last at 7.15 p m. of Mr Carl Ferdinand Schultz. Deceased was born 17th August, 1838, at Beuschen, in the province of Posen, Germany. He emigrated from Germany with his parents at the age of 2 years, and settled near Tanunda, South Australia. He was married to Auguste Winsker on 26th October, 1860, who predeceased him 1st Ootober, 1911. After having changed his residence on different occasions in South Australia, he came to Victoria and settled down at Ni Ni Well in the year 1900 ; 4 sons and 4 daughters survive him ; they are — F. H. Schultz, Henty, N.S.W.; J. G. T. Schultz, Glenlee ; F. W. Schultz, Dimboola ; Ben Schultz, Ni Ni Well; Mrs C. Cramer, Yanac ; Mrs E. F. Schultz, Culcairn (N.S.W.); Mrs W. Frost and Mrs A. Moll, Netherby. The remains will be interred at Woorak cemetery this afternoon, when the funeral cortege will leave Ni Ni Well Lutheran Church, the service commencing at 1.30 p.m.[1] Family Tree[2]
