Veldon Vanburen Scott was born on 16 Feb 1892 in Fairview, Scott, Virginia, United States, son of Lilburn Scott (1854–1931) and Mary Caroline Berry (1861–1940)^[1].

In the 1900 census he (age 9) was the son of Lilborn Scott in Roberson District, Wise, Virginia, United States.^[2]

In the 1910 census he (age 18) was the single son of Lilbourn Scott in Robinson, Wise, Virginia, United States.^[3]

He (age 20), son of L Scott & M Scott, married Clarie Fleming (age 24) on 25 Oct 1911 in Dickenson, Virginia, United States.^[4]

Veldon died of thyrotoxicosis on 6 Oct 1929 in Letcher, Kentucky, United States, aged 37^[5][6]. Veldon was buried in Flemingtown Cemetery, Clintwood, Dickenson County, Virginia, United States with a death date of 6 Oct 1929.^[7]
