Mary Ann Maria was born on the 30th October 1880^[1] at Greenwich, Kent, England^[2] and baptised on the 24th November 1880 at Christ Church, Greenwich, Kent, England, the daughter of Thomas Seagrove (fisherman) and Maria Seagrove of Chester Street^[3] .

On the 26th October 1908, Mary Ann Maria Seagrove married D'Auvergne Robert Edward Bane at Old St. Pancras, London, England. D'Auvergne Robert Edward Bane, 24, bachelor, publican, of 6 Warrington Street, son of Richard Bane (Tailor) and Mary Ann Maria Seagrove, 27, spinster of 6 Warrington Street, daughter of Thomas William Seagrove (lighterman). Witnessed by Herbert Richard Bane and M. D. Bane^[4]
