Note NI9018Served as a private in Capt George Lathrop's Company of the 164th, Regiment, NY State Militia, commanded by Col. W.L. Churchill, organized in Genesee County. Serving From June 29 to July 15, 1812. Discharged July 15, 1812 in Lewiston, NY. He re-enlisted Dec 15, 1812 and Mar 1813 under Capt. A. Mattson's NY Militia as a Sergeant.
He migrated to Elyria, Middleburg Twp, Cuyahoga Co, OH, later known as Elyria, county seat of Lorain Co.
