Source: #S1242230105 May 1908 22 May 1908 Note: fultonhistory.com Sunday Evening about two miles from Clayville, occurrd the death of Charles Bauer, sr., one of the oldest and most respected residents of the town of Paris. Mr. Bauer was born in Leipzig, Germany, December 25, 1820, being in his 88th year. In 1847 he was married to Sophia Selter and came to this country where he established a comfortable home for his family, who also came in about a year. To Mr. and Mrs. Bauer six children were born, all of whom are now living. After Mrs. Bauer's death he was again united in marriage to Amelia Caroline Alberding. Mr. Bauer was a diligent worker, an honest and upright man, always striving to do what was right.
