Ann married James Whitaker on 10 Oct 1832 at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Prescot, Lancashire, by licence. Both were 21 or older and neither had been married before; James was a book keeper of Windle, Ann was of Sutton. The witnesses were Richard Penketh and Margaret Tarbuck. The marriage bond contains a curious note, stating that James had originally said they both belonged to the parish of Liverpool, but on being asked to take an oath, admitted they were both of the parish of Prescot. The Liverpool addresses written in and later crossed out were Bedford Street Liverpool for James, and Parliament? Street for Ann.
