Biography

Peter was born in 1809. He was the son of William E Shaver and Mary Catherine Book.

In 1830, Peter purchased land in Etobicoke, Upper Canada, near his brothers, John and George. He called the land “Applewood.”

Two years later, he married Esther Vansickle (1813-1870) whose ancestors had come from the Netherlands.

Their daughter, Esther Josephine (1846-1925), was one of their seven children.

He passed away in 1890. At the time of his death, he was a retired farmer.

Peter was born about 1809. He passed away about 1890. ^[1]
